TDS2000C and TDS1000C-EDU Series Oscilloscope Service Manual
This service manual provides information to verify performance of,
calibrate, troubleshoot, disassemble, and replace parts on the TDS2000C and
TDS1000C-EDU Series Digital Storage Oscilloscopes.
Unless noted otherwise, the term "oscilloscope" refers to all models in the
TDS2000C and TDS1000C-EDU series.
This manual uses certain conventions that you should become familiar with
before attempting service.
Throughout this manual, any replaceable component, assembly, or part is referred
to by the term module.
A module is composed of electrical and mechanical assemblies, circuit cards,
interconnecting cables, and user-accessible controls.
This manual refers to any field-replaceable assembly or mechanical part
specifically by its name or generically as a replaceable part. In general, a
replaceable part is any circuit board or assembly, such as the hard disk drive, or a
mechanical part, such as the I/O port connectors, that is listed in the replaceable
parts list.
Symbols and terms related to safety appear in the Service Safety Summary found
at the beginning of this manual.
