GPU Performance Scaling (Advanced Menu > Advanced Chipset Control)
You can enable/disable NVIDIA GPU Performance scaling from this menu. The
NVIDIA Card does the scaling if this option is on, and has less latency than the Intel
GPU. This can be useful if you play games etc.
Battery Engine (Advanced Menu > Advanced Chipset Control)
The sub-menu here allows you to enable/disable the Battery Engine. The Battery
Engine may be set to automatically start charging your battery when the battery
reaches a certain capacity level (e.g. you could start the battery charge level at 40%).
See the sidebar warning for information on running the Battery Engine for an
extended period as this is not recommended.
DDI Control (Advanced Menu > Advanced Chipset Control)
You can change DDI (Display Digital Interface) control from DDI to DP (Display-
Port) or DDI to TBT (Thunderbolt) here to support external displays connected to
these ports.

If you leave the Battery
Engine
continuously
"Enabled" for a period
of three months or more,
the battery meter's read-
ing accuracy will deteri-
orate.
To reset this, set the
Battery Engine to "Dis-
abled", and then allow
the battery to completely
discharge (see
"Battery
FAQ" on page 3 -
21)
before
enabling
the
function again.
