Powering up the projector

1) 2)
1 ) Connect the power plug to the outlet.
(AC100 V-240 V 50 Hz-60 Hz)
2 ) Press the [ON] side of the <MAIN
POWER> switch to turn on the power.
After a while, the <Power indicator> will light in
red or blink in green, and the projector will enter
standby mode.
3 ) Press the Power (
<Power indicator> lamp illuminates in green and
soon the image is projected on the screen.
Note
In the [SECURITY] menu, check that [CONTROL
z
PANEL] (when operating from the projector) or [REMOTE
CONTROLLER] (when using the remote control) in the
[CONTROL DEVICE SETUP] is set to [ENABLE].

You must enter a password to make settings in the
[SECURITY] menu. ( Æ page 62)
The lamp makes a low frizzling sound when lit which is
z
normal and not a malfunction.
During video projection, the cooling fan turns making a
z
sound. Fan sound may change with ambient temperature
and becomes louder when the lamp is lit.
When the lamp is turned off and immediately turned back
z
on again, the video may temporarily flicker slightly at the
start of projection due to lamp characteristics but this is
not a malfunction.
When [ECO] is selected in [STANDBY MODE] (
z
57) in [ECO MANAGEMENT] under the "PROJECTOR
SETUP menu", the initial image may appear about 10
seconds later than when set to [NORMAL].
If the direct power function was used to set the MAIN
z
POWER switch to [OFF] during projection and [LAST
MEMORY] had been selected under [INITIAL START UP]
in the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu, the next time the
<MAIN POWER> switch is set to [ON] when the power
plug is connected to an AC outlet, the <Power indicator>
will soon light green and an image will be projected.

Making adjustment and

It is recommended that the images are projected
continuously for at least 30 minutes before the focus
is adjusted.
4 ) Set the initial settings. (
The screen to set the display language and
the [INITIAL SETTING] menu screen to set

on the power for the first time after purchase
or when you perform [PROJECTOR SETUP] -

6 ) Adjust the projection angle.
