DSC OPERATION
■ DSC Settings (Continued)
D Channel Auto Switch function/Channel 16 Switch function
Channel Auto Switch Function:
(For only USA version transceivers)
By regulation, after receiving a DSC call, the transceiver
changes the operating channel to the channel assigned by
the received DSC call. However, when this setting is set to
"OFF," the function enables the transceiver to remain on the
operating channel, even after receiving a Distress call.
q Enter "CH AUTO SWITCH" in the DSC Settings menu.
MENU
(Push [MENU].)
w Rotate Dial or push [Y]/[Z] to set the Channel Auto Switch
function to "Auto (No Delay)," "10 Second Delay," or "OFF,"
then push [ENT].
• Push [BACK] to return to the previous screen.

CH Auto Switch
(Rotate Dial, then push [ENT].)
Auto (No Delay):
10 Second Delay: After receiving a Distress call, and
OFF :
e Push [EXIT] to return to the normal operating mode.
(default)
Channel 16 Switch Function:
For transceivers other than USA versions, the Channel Auto
switch function is applies to only Distress calls.
The transceiver changes the operating channel to Channel
16 after receiving a Distress call.
After receiving a DSC call, and [ACPT]
is pushed on the confirmation screen,
the transceiver immediately changes
to the channel assigned by the re-
ceived DSC call.
[ACPT] is pushed on the confirmation
screen, the transceiver remains on the
current operating channel for 10 sec-
onds. After that, the transceiver auto-
matically changes to the channel as-
signed by the received DSC call.

Even after receiving a Distress call, the
transceiver remains on the operating
channel.
