Important Sa fety Instructions
Read all of these instructions and save them for later reference. Follow all
w arnings and instru ctions m arked on the p rinter.
Do not place the printer on an unstable surface or near a rad iator or
heat sou rce.
Place the p rinter on a flat su rface. The p rinter w ill not operate
p rop erly if it is tilted or at an angle.
Do not block or cover the openings in the printer 's cabinet. Do not
insert objects through the slots.
Use only the typ e of pow er source ind icated on the printer 's label.
Connect all equipm ent to properly ground ed pow er outlets. Avoid
using outlets on the sam e circuit as photocopiers or air control
system s that regularly sw itch on and off.
Do not u se a d am aged or frayed p ow er cord.
If you u se an extension cord w ith the printer, m ake sure the total
am pere rating of the d evices p lugged into the extension cord d oes not
exceed the cord 's am pere rating. Also, m ake sure the total of all
d evices p lu gged into the w all outlet d oes not exceed 15 am p eres.
Unp lu g the p rinter before cleaning. Clean w ith a damp cloth only.
Do not spill liquid on the printer.
Excep t as sp ecifically exp lained in this guid e, d o not attem pt to
service the printer yourself.
