3. First tu rn on you r p rinter and then tu rn on the com p u ter.
You r com p u ter begins load ing Wind ow s 95.
4. If you u se a p assw ord , enter it at the p rom p t. You see the
N ew H ard w are Fou nd screen.

If you do not see the N ew Hardware Found screen, follow the
instructions under "Installing the printer driver using M y
Computer" on page 2-4.
5. Make su re the screen d isp lays you r p rinter m od el nam e.
Then click the Driver from d isk p rovid ed b y ha rd w a re
m a nufa c turer rad io bu tton.

The next time you turn on your computer after you install the
driver, W indows 95 may display the N ew Hardware Found screen
again. If so, select the Do not insta ll a d river radio button and
then click OK . This screen does not appear again.
Click OK . You see the Install From Disk screen.

If you inserted the d isk in d rive A, click OK . Otherw ise, change

9. You can typ e a u niqu e nam e for the p rinter in the Printer nam e
box. We recom m end that you keep the m od el nam e as show n.
To u se the p rinter as the d efau lt p rinter for Wind ow s 95
ap p lications, select Yes . ( No is the d efau lt setting.)
10. Click the Finish bu tton. The p rogram cop ies the files to you r
hard d isk and ad d s an icon to the Printers fold er u sing the
p rinter m od el nam e or the nam e you selected .
