other ap p liances that can cau se voltage flu ctu ations.
Keep the entire com p u ter system aw ay from p otential sou rces
of electrom agnetic interference, su ch as lou d sp eakers or the
base u nits of cord less telep hones.
Use a grou nd ed p ow er ou tlet; d o not u se an ad ap ter p lu g.
Make su re the p ap er p ath is clear and u nobstru cted before you
p rint on continu ou s p ap er. See Chap ter 3 for d etails.
If you p lan to u se a p rinter stand , follow these gu id elines:
Use a stand that su p p orts at least 18 kg (39.6 lb).
N ever u se a stand that tilts the p rinter. The p rinter shou ld
alw ays be kep t level.
Position you r p rinter's p ow er cord and interface cable so they
d o not interfere w ith p ap er feed ing. If p ossible, secu re the
cables to a leg of the p rinter stand .
