ON A DAILY BASIS:

Clean the interior:
The interior of the edger should be cleaned on a daily basis using the vacuum to
remove debris that escapes the chip chute during normal operation. A 1½ inch by 6 foot
flexible hose and crevice tool are provided with the vacuum for this purpose. Also, an air
gun is provided with the accessory kit, to be attached to the compressor hose during the
cleaning process.
1. Switch the On/Off button on the control panel to the Off position.
2. Remove the filter regulator from the right side of the edger, then detach the
compressor hose quick-disconnect. Attach the air gun to the compressor hose.
3. Remove the 2 ½" hose from the vacuum canister's inlet and install the 1 ½" hose
fitted with the crevice tool.
4. Move the toggle switch on the back right corner of the Horizon II to the down
position. This will turn on the vacuum independently of the edger's operation.
5. Vacuum debris from the inside of the edger with the crevice tool, being careful
not to disturb the control wiring. Then depress the trigger on the air gun to blow
hard-to-reach debris into the path of the crevice tool, ensuring that the edger is
clean.
6. Reverse steps 4 through 1 to return the edger to normal operation.
The exterior of the Horizon II can be cleaned with a mild, non-abrasive detergent.
Drain the Air Filter:
The filter regulator assembly is located on the right side of the Horizon II towards the
rear of the machine. Any moisture that has accumulated should be drained by pressing up on
the valve stem located at the bottom of the bowl.
Check the Air Pressure:
The pressure on the right side of the edger should read 80 psi. It can be adjusted by
pulling up on the yellow locking ring, and turning the knob on top accordingly, then pushing
the yellow ring down into the locked position. Should the pressure drop too low, lens
slippage could occur. For normal operations, the tracking gauge should read 35 psi.
