    • II. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS The textile of the SCOTT MX Shorts are considered to be items of Personal Protector Equipment (PPE) of Category II and as such are subject to the requirements laid down by the European directive 89/686/EEC.
  • Page 5 Never tamper with any part of the back protectors. Do not paint the back protector nor use colorants of any nature. SCOTT Sports SA shall not accept com- plaints or replace protectors that have been used improperly.
  • Page 6 T+ means the protection is tested and certified for temperatures up to +40 degrees Celsius T- means the protection is tested and certified for temperatures down to –10 degrees Celsius All SCOTT protections are certified with ambient and wet conditioning. Wet conditioning testing is used to simulate the high humidity experienced during sports.
  • Page 7 Hang your gear dry and away form direct heat sources. SCOTT recommends to store your gear at a temperature between 0°C and 30°C. The gear should be cleaned thoroughly before putting it away for long periods. Keep it in its original packaging during storage and during transportation.
