Pistol Grip Control Mount Clamp Assembly
The pistol grip control mount clamp assembly
consists of three parts – the mount clamp body,
mount clamp, and a 3/8"-16 x 1" hex cap screw.
The mount clamp will work with skid steer controls
that have straight, fixed operation levers. See the
instructions to the right for proper installation.
24 Assem. Instructions - Plow Wire Harness
Electrical Assembly - Plow Wire Harness
1.
Begin the installation by connecting the 12VDC RED WIRE LEAD COILS
on the COIL HARNESS to the SOLENOID CARTRIDGES on the manifold.
Install each coil to its respective cartridge valve by matching the number on
the coil to the stamped number on the manifold. Note: Review the chart to
the left for proper orientation of the coils. To install a coil, simply remove
the 1/2"-20 YZ HEX JAM NUT on each cartridge, position the coil over
the cartridge (in its proper stacked order) and secure with the jam nut.
The wire leads from each coil should face toward the middle of the
manifold block to ensure the least amount of tension on the wires from
the harness.
2. Continue the harness installation by connecting the MALE ELECTRIC
CONNECTOR found on the COIL WIRE LEAD HARNESS to the FEMALE
ELECTRIC CONNECTOR on the EXTENSION WIRE HARNESS. Note:
The end of the extension wire harness that DOES NOT contain both
ground and power wires, connects to the coil wire lead harness. Once both
connectors are locked together, feed the opposite end of the extension
wire harness through the top access hole (same as 3/4" TANK HYDRAULIC
HOSE) in the A-frame located on the driver's side.
3. Locate the PISTOL GRIP CONTROL MOUNTING CLAMP that was
packaged with your snowplow. Note: The mounting clamp will only work
with skid steer controls that have straight, fixed operation levers. Remove
any grip that may be on the steer lever. Next, remove the small CLAMP
from inside the larger CLAMP BODY. Run the male electric connector on
the PISTOL GRIP CONTROL WIRE HARNESS through the clamp body
and reposition the clamp. Note: The clamp should be toward the square
edge of the mounting body and the harness toward the rounded edge.
Position the PISTOL GRIP CONTROL in the cut-out on the clamp body
and slide the clamp body over the operation lever on the skid steer. Secure
the mounting clamp to the lever by tightening the 3/8"-16 x 1" hex cap
screw on the clamp.
4.
Lock together the male electric connector on the pistol grip control harness
to the female electric connector on the extension wire harness. Complete
the electrical assembly by attaching the BLACK, GROUND wire from the
extension wire harness to the cab of the skid steer. The PINK/BLACK,
POWER wire connects to a switched (on and off with ignition) power
source with a minimum of 12 volts.
5.
Replace the A-frame cover by aligning the holes in the cover with those
on the A-frame and secure with 3/8"-16 x 1" hex cap screws and washers.
Congratulations! You have just completed building the finest snowplow skid
steer attachment available! However, the snowplow's functions still need to be
tested. Follow the instructions on page 25.
