Introduction Manufacturerʼs Note "ELBW Infant Model" is designed to be used for basic care and resuscitation training for extremely low birth weight infants. ■ Features ELBW Infant Model simulates an extremely low birth weight infant of a body weight of approximately 900 g between 26 and 28 weeks of age. BVM ventilation, chest compression, and tracheal intubation (unilateral/bilateral - lung ventilation, esophageal intubation confirmation) can be performed. The manikin comes with a bronchi, esophagus, and stomach and can be used to practice basic care skills such as tube feeding, suctioning, and urinary catheterization, among others. Use a 2.0 to 2.5 mm ID tracheal tube, blade size #00 for the laryngoscope, and a newborn size (small) bag valve mask. If a large amount of lubricant is accidentally applied to the mouth or other crevices, use a swab or something similar to wipe it off. If a large amount of lubricant is used and it is left as is, the lubricant cautions can dry and solidify inside. Mask replacement 1. When removing the mask, lift the mask at the back of the head and then remove the mask in the anterior direction. Remove the neck part last. 2. For mask placement, first place the mask on the chin and then pull it towards the back of the head. At the back of the head, match the mask to the level difference of the head. Finally, put the neck part inside the trunk.
