We would recommend that you upgrade the tagging system by fitting either a special Datatool S4 tagging upgrade kit
designed specifically to complement the S4 and upgrade the tagging of the machine to insurance standards or Gold
tagging kit to uniquely identify other major components of the machine, further reducing its desirability to the potential
thief.
PLEASE NOTE: The S4 tagging upgrade kit should only be used in instances where an S4 insurance approved
security system has been installed

S4 Red/ Green transmitters
What the buttons do
There are two buttons on the transmitter.
The Grey button controls the main Arm/Disarm functions of the system.
The Black button controls the secondary functions such as movement sensor deletion (Ferry Mode) and Panic/Locate.
Combinations of these buttons control further functions, and we describe this later in the manual.
Should you wish to change the operation of the alarm from the factory default setting, please refer to the relevant section
within this manual as to how it effects the operation of the system. If you require further guidance please contact us at

Combining the ignition key with the S4 remote control

For added convenience you can combine the ignition key of most machines into the front of the S4 Red and Green remote
control.
This is not part of the standard installation and can therefore be charged as an extra or used as a sale incentive. Any
charges should be discussed with the customer prior to carrying out the conversion.
The remote also contains a special area to house most types of original equipment immobiliser transponder chips.

NOTE: Extra care should be taken if the existing ignition key contains an inbuilt transponder system designed to
immobilise the machine. Should the transponder chip be damaged or lost whilst removing it from the ignition key the
machine will not be able to be started and a replacement chipped key (and possibly ignition ECU) may have to be
purchased. If you are in any doubt regarding the conversion please contact Datatool for guidance.

Should the customer require a combined ignition key and remote control for the S4 C4 Yellow Model, it is possible to
purchase the S4 C1 Red remote control above and code it to the Yellow type alarm.
