5.0. Docking and de-docking of the pulling
device by the user
The pulling device has a feature which allows the angle
of the pulling device to the wheelchair to be adjusted in
order facilitate easy docking and de-docking.
DANGER!
• Always make sure that the device is switched off before
docking and de-docking.
• Ensure the wheelchair is fully connected with the
pulling device before use.
• As with all moving parts, there is a risk that fingers and
/ or clothing could become trapped. Be extra careful
when operating the clamp-lever and the locking-bolt.

5.1. Docking

Undo the clamp lever (A), tighten the locking bolt (B) to
the left and lock it in the open position by rotating it 90°.
The connection between the pulling device and
intermediate sub-frame is now open - the intermediate
sub-frame can be moved upwards.

1. Drive the wheelchair towards the pulling device and
get as close as possible.
2. Switch the pulling device off using the switch on the
battery.
3. Apply the wheelchair brakes.
4. Fig. 1: Lift the pulling device from the floor and insert
the ends of the tubes of the intermediate sub-frame
into the clamps on the wheelchair, until the required
gap between the footrest of the wheelchair and the
pulling device is achieved. If, in this position, the
handlebar is on your thighs, you can change the
height and position of the handlebar for docking and
de-docking as required (See Chapter "Adjusting the
handlebar position").
5. Fig. 2a: Now rotate the tommy screws of the clamps
in a clockwise direction until they are hand tight and
the intermediate sub-frame is securely held in the
clamp.
6. Fig. 2b: Now close the additional safety clips.
7. Fig. 3: Undo the catch of the locking bolt by rotating it
approx. 90° again.
8. Fig. 4: Push the handlebar forwards/upwards until the
locking bolt automatically clicks into place.
9. Fig. 5: Close the clamp lever by pulling it upwards
beyond the dead centre point. The ball-shaped cap of
the clamp lever must be pointing upwards.
10. Only release the wheelchair brakes just before
setting off.
