    Preparing your wheelchair for use Armrests The armrests on both sides of the wheelchair can be removed to allow side transfer. Press the spring loaded catch mounted on the side of the armrest frame down tube (Fig.1) and remove armrest as shown. When seated, lower the armrest until it locks into the retaining bracket.
