Using a PC Card

Your Handheld Terminal supports use of PC cards. Use the following procedure to load
and remove PC cards.

Affixing a PC Card Remover Tape

Once loaded, some PC cards may be difficult to remove from the PC card slot.
Affixing a PC card remover tape to the PC card before you load it makes it easier to
pull the card out of the slot later.
Important !
Always affix the PC card remover tape to the PC card adapter, not the PC card
itself, whenever loading a CF card into the Handheld Terminal using a PC card
adapter. If you affix the tape to the CF card instead of the adapter, pulling the tape
may end up pulling out the CF card only, and make it impossible to remove the PC
card adapter.

To load a PC card

1. Carefully lift up either end of the rubber PC card slot cover, and remove the four
screws that secure it in place.
Important !
Be gentle when lifting up the ends of the PC card slot cover rubber to expose the
screws. Pulling on the rubber or other rough handling can cause the rubber to
break.
