7�2�3 Cleaning the combustion chamber
Remove the interior plates from the combustion chamber
(fig. 7.5) :
using a vacuum cleaner for ash, clean the flue duct,
consisting of the two bottom spaces (fig. 7.6).
Repeat the previous activities in reverse, and reinsert the
interior plates into the combustion chamber, making sure
to position them properly.
7�2�4 Cleaning the glass door
This activity is performed using a damp cloth or moist
paper that has been immersed in ash (Fig. 7.7).
Wipe the pane until the glass is clean.
Do not clean the glass door while the insert is working,
and do not use abrasive sponges� Do not wet the door's
gasket, as this will accelerate its wear�
7�3 EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE
The pellet insert is a heat generator fired with solid fuel,
and as such, requires extraordinary annual maintenance,
which should be performed by an authorised JØTUL
service technician once a year, preferably at the start of
the heating season.
The purpose of this maintenance is to check the correct
operation of all parts.
If the
icons appear simultaneously on the control
keyboard, an authorised service technician must be
contacted immediately for the purpose of carrying out
extraordinary insert maintenance.
This warning may be temporarily cleared by pressing the
button, after which the insert can be reignited without
problems.
This warning will be displayed until extraordinary
maintenance is performed by an authorised service
technician and hours of work are cleared.
After finishing maintenance or repair activities, and prior
to restarting the system, all guards must be reinstalled
and all safeguarding devices must be reactivated.
7�3�1 Cleaning of the flue gas take-off T-pipe
Every 500 kg of pellet burned, the T-pipe taking off flue
gas should be cleaned by sliding the insert out from its
socket.
Open the door, insert Allen key (A) into the limiter's
releasing socket; turn the closing lever counterclockwise,
to position (B), in order to lock the rails into place
(fig. 7.8).
Vacuum the residue from inside the T-pipe (fig. 7.9)
Push the appliance in until the very end.
Insert Allen key (A) into the limiter's releasing socket;
turn the closing lever clockwise, to position (B), in order
to lock the rails into place, close the door.
