FREEZER LAMP COVER & LAMP
1.
Squeeze the sides inward and down. The front location tab can then be unhooked from its slot.
2.
The lamp has two spade terminations and can be pulled out.
H.
FREEZER REAR PANELS (EVAPORATOR COVERS)
1.
Remove the icemaker as in E and its support cradle.
2.
Remove the auger and solenoid assembly as in F.
3.
Remove all sidewall runners and fi ttings (except senor probe cover). Note which way up the runners are
attached to the sidewall.
4.
Remove the top section of the rear panel (2 screws).
5.
Remove both lower rear panel sections together (6 screws) to expose the evaporator - (foil insulation
behind the sections joins them together). On reassembly, ensure that the foil insulation is stuck down
properly.

EVAPORATOR FAN MOTOR
1.
Remove the components as in E, F, G, and H.
2.
Remove the fan blade.
3.
Lift the motor to release the front retaining plastic moulding from its location.
4.
Release the rear retaining plastic moulding to release the motor completely.
5.
Disconnect the 2-pin connector.
K.
FAN MOTOR (Gain access for testing defrost heater, fan motor and cut-out)
1.
Remove the 2 bottom screws of the middle rear panel.
2.
Using a chisel knife or similar tool ease the bottom edge of the panel away from the foam pad stuckbehind
it.
3.
Lift the bottom edge forward so the panel is approximately at 45°.
4.
Slide the panel forward along the side runners.
5.
Disconnect the 2-pin connector for the fan motor.
6.
Remove the two screws securing the plastic housing to the rear wall.
7.
Lift the assembly from the evaporator metal heat shield.
L.
EVAPORATOR
1.
Remove the components as in E, F, G, H and K.
2.
Lift the evaporator metal heat shield upward slightly to release it from the retaining clip on the rear wall.
Note: It is important to relocate in the clip properly on reassembly.
3.
Disconnect the 6-pin connector above the evaporator and the earth connection to the metal heat shield.
Note: Ensure that the earth connection is relocated properly on reassembly.
4.
Pull the bottom of the evaporator outward and raise upward to remove the heat shield from the evaporator.
Note: 2 metal clips which are not easy to see, hold the heat shield to the bottom run of he evaporator.
These can fall out as the heat shield is removed.
The metal clips are best refi tted as follows:
Before refi tting the heat shield, locate the 2 clips correctly in their respective positions inside the heat shield,
toward the bottom. As the heat shield is pushed into place over the evaporator, the clips should relocate in
position on the bottom run of the evaporator tube.
