Cylinder/Piston
4. Remove the cylinder base gasket.
TOOLS
The following steps requires the use of tool kit 502
50 70-01, containg piston ring compressors, to
press together the piston rings when assembling.
The support plate is placed between the piston and
the crankcase to facilitate the work.
16.3. PISTON
DISMANTLING
1. Place the support plate under the piston.
2. Seal with a cloth or paper so as not to risk
anything falling down into the crankcase.
3. Dismantle the circlips on both sides of the
gudgeon pin using a pair of pliers. Turn and
press together the circlip at the same time as it
is pulled outwards.
