CHAPTER 4:
Manager, Engineering & Service Modes
4.1 MANAGER, ENGINEERING & SERVICE MODES
T1X AND TJX CONSOLES:
These sections allow users to manipulate default settings for the mac hines. It may be accessed by pressing
the Incline Down/Speed Down keys simultaneously for 5 seconds. To change a setting, press "Enter'' on the
keypad under 'Manager Mode', 'Engineering Mode' or 'Servic e Mode' and use the inc line or speed
buttons and numeric keypad to enter a category and c hange the values. Pressing "Enter'' again will save
the c hange. Pressing "Back" will bring you to the previous menu. To exit Manager, Engineering or Service
Mode, hold "Pause" down for 5 seconds. Below is a list of the settings that can be changed for the T3x.
TREAD SENSE The treadmill software will stop the belt if no footfalls are detected or if no buttons are
pressed on the console. Engages when speed is over 0.5 mph (0.8 kph).
BASIC FUNCTION If no footfalls or user interactions with the console are measured, a warning message will
display on the console. A 10 second countdown will begin and the belt will stop, ending the program.
The default stop time can be set at 30, 60 or 90 sec onds and be turned off completely in manager mode.
Service technicians can also disable the feature in engineering mode.
T1XE, T3XH AND T3XE CONSOLES:
These sections allow users to manipulate default settings for the machines. Manager Mode may be accessed
by pressing ENTER, 1, 0, 0, 1, Enter on the keypad. Engineering Mode may be accessed by pressing
ENTER, 2, 0, 0, 1, Enter on the keypad. Service Mode may be accessed by pressing ENTER, 3, 0, 0, 1, Enter
on the keypad. The screen shots on the next pages show what you will see when you enter Manager,
Engineering and Service Mode.
This c onsole has a fully integrated touc h sc reen display. Lightly touc h the sc reen and use the intuitive
interface to adjust the settings. Any and all changes made will be saved when the "home" button is touched in
the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Touching the "home" button will exit manager or engineering mode
and return you to the main sc reen. It is not necessary to touch this button after each setting is changed.
