Punctures

There are a number of safety
requirements, which must be taken into
account in the event of a puncture.
WARNING
Always ensure that the bus is standing on
a level surface and cannot start moving.
Chock the wheels or use the towing bar to
attach the bus to another vehicle.
Punctured air bellows
If any of the bus' air bellows are
punctured, further driving should be
avoided. The preferred alternative is to
replace the bellow where the bus broke
down, or be towed to the nearest Volvo
work shop.
Only if other options are judged
impossible, the bus shall be driven. In
such case, the speed must be reduced
to max 20 km/h and no longer than 0,5 h
in order to avoid consequential faults.
Punctured tyres
CAUTION
In the event of a tyre puncture, keep in
mind that tyres are very heavy, approx.
100 kg. Volvo strongly recommend calling
for assistance when replacing punctured
tyres.
Jacking points
The bus has special jacking points (1,2).
The positions of the jacking points are
marked with labels (3).

NOTE
When the bus is equipped with two
different jacks:
Depending on the lifting point in which the
jack is positioned, the high or low model is
used. In certain cases, both jacks must be
used alternately before the wheel runs
freely.
