Parking assistant

The rear parking assistant facilitates
distance assessment and informs of
obstructions when there is limited space
behind the bus. The system is activated
when reverse gear is engaged.
CAUTION
The park assistant does not replace the
use of rear view mirrors.
Display information
The display indicates the distance to any
obstacle behind the bus. The four bar
columns represent the four sensors
installed in the rear bumper, and show
the direction and location of the
obstacle(s).

Distance in meters
The bars are illuminated to visualize the
decreasing distance to the obstacle. The
digits indicate the distance in meters
from the obstacle closest to the
sensor(s).

When reverse gear is engaged, the
system automatically starts up with a
short acoustic signal, and is activated
after approx. 3 s.
Volume adjustment
To adjust the volume of the acoustic
signal, use the switch at the back of the
display to select HI, LOW or OFF.
Fault tracing
If the system does not start up when
reverse gear is engaged, it may indicate
that one or several of the sensors are
dirty or have been damaged.
Error message E1, E2, E3 or E4 on the
display with corresponding amount of
beeps refer to error with the sensor or
sensor cable for first, second, third or
fourth sensor respetively.
If EE is shown in the display with a 1,5 s
long error signal, none of the sensors are
in working order.
