Switches

The bus is fitted with the switches
presented in the below table. The
symbols represent the function of the
switch. The symbol is fitted on one of the
switch types depicted below. The actual
layout of the bus's switches may differ
from below table.
The location of most switches in the bus
can be adapted to any requirements, but
for safety reasons, some of the switches
cannot be moved. Contact an authorised
Volvo workshop for more information.

Emergency switch
NOTE
Only use the emergency switch in
emergency situations.
CAUTION
Shutting down the bus using the
emergency switch may cause damage to
critical electrical components.
To activate the emergency switch, lift the
latch and flip the switch to the ON
position. After closing the latch, the
switch will automatically return to the
OFF position.
The following occur after activating the
emergency switch:
The engine is turned off.
The main power circuit is turned off.
The door mechanisms are unlocked.
In some markets, the hazard lights
are turned on.
NOTE
The emergency switch can be used to
quickly prevent personal injury or
equipment damage.
Battery main switch
CAUTION
Before using the battery main switch, You
must always switch the ignition to STOP
position and turn off the main power switch
on the control panel
The battery main switch is located in the
battery compartment and is used for
powering the vehicle.
Turn the battery main switch in
disconnected position (0) to turn off all
power supply.
