Destination sign

Destination signs
The destination sign system provides
passengers with relevant route
information: destination, route numbers
and information about travel time
between stops and other information.
The system comprises two integrated
signs:
1 External destination signs — Located
above the windscreen and above the
passenger entrance, they show the
route number and destination. Also,
a rear sign, which shows the route
number.
2 Internal destination signs — Located
above the gangway, it provides
information such as the current and
next stop, destination and route
number.
The destination sign system is part of the
communication system, automatically
controlled by GPS and/or distance
measurement signals during the journey.
The destinations signs are managed
from the destination sign control unit.
Texts for the destination signs are
prepared in the editor, and then
transferred to the control unit via a USB
memory stick.

Control panel
The control panel has four operating
buttons to navigate through the user
interface, a green OK button and a red
Cancel button. Load new customer data,
configuration and software from a USB
flash drive in the slot. A green light
flashes when the device is working.

Display
The main menu is divided in two different
layouts:
1 Input screen
All changes are done in the input
screen. Press a button to close the
input screen.
2 Idle screen
The display returns to the idle screen
after a period of inactivity. The idle
timer can be adjusted in the settings
menu.
Operating the control unit
Before driving, the required settings for
the route have to be entered. The route
codes can be entered directly using the
arrow buttons.
During the ride, the communication
system is automatically controlled by
GPS and/or distance measurement
signal.
To access the route selection mode,
press the OK button (4). In the route
selection mode, the destination
information sent to signs can be
changed.
