Replacing the SmartCard reader: Removing the bracket

Remove the screw (1).
Ê
Pull the SmartCard reader carrier out of the PC casing (2).
If the carrier cannot be pulled out of the casing because the power supply unit is too large,

then let the customer service centre install or remove the SmartCard reader.

Push the SmartCard reader into the
guide (a) with the component side facing
upwards (1).
Ê
Secure the SmartCard reader with the
screw (2).
Ê
Attach the cable to the SmartCard
reader (3) and to the connector for the
SmartCard reader on the system board
(see the Technical Manual for the
system board).
Ê
Install the carrier for the SmartCard
reader in the casing (see "Installing the
carrier").
