Trouble
•
No fluid out of the gun.
•
Pattern width narrows
during reversing phase

Air leak at the valve

Cause
•
Clogged nozzle
•
Air trapped in the fluid
circuit
•
Viscosity too high
•
Too much atomizing air
•
Defective tip seal
•
Tip loose
•
Packing is worn
•
Impurities in the paint
•
Needle worn or/and
nozzle worn
•
Valve worn
•
Friction on the needle
•
Valve worn

Solution
•
Cut the pressure on the
pump. Depressurize the
hoses.
•
Remove and clean the
nozzle with solvent by means
of the brush.
•
Check the seal condition.
•
Check connections and
suction hose quality.
•
Reduce viscosity.
•
Reduce air pressure.
•
Replace it.
•
Tighten it.
•
Tighten up the packing
holder without blocking the
needle.
•
If there is still a leak, replace
the packing and the needle.
•
Trigger the gun 3 or 4 times.
•
Replace needle and nozzle.
•
Change the valve.
•
Remove the trigger and
check the needle.
•
Replace the valve.
