4-5.Network Errors

When a network error occurs, the ERROR 2 LED turns ON or flashes and network operations cannot be
performed. The details of the network error can be checked using the special internal relays and special data
registers to determine what steps to take.
When the ERROR 2 LED turns ON or flashes, check the following special internal relays.

After finding the network in which an error has occurred, the nature of the error can be checked using the
special data registers as follows :

The meanings of the special data registers are :

Bit data
Bit position Descriptions
0
Becomes "1" when a communication error occurs.
1
Becomes "1" when the station numbers(UNIT NO.) overlap in one network.
2
Becomes "1" when the send areas overlap.
3
Becomes "1" ;
• when the station numbers(UNIT NO.) are outside of the specified range
(01 to 32).
• when the station numbers(UNIT NO.) in the PC Link Mode are outside of the
specified range(01 to 16).
Note :
• The ERROR 1 LED does not flash due network errors. If ERROR 1 LED flashes, a hardware
self-diagnostic error may occur.
Description
Turns ON when an error occurs in the P/W LINK 1 network.
Turns ON when an error occurs in the P/W LINK 2 network.
Turns ON when an error occurs in the P/W LINK 3 network.
Description
Error condition in the P/W LINK 1 network.
Error condition in the P/W LINK 2 network.
Error condition in the P/W LINK 3 network.
