BootP server

The controller supports the Bootstrap Protocol (BootP). The AXC 1050 (BootP client) sends
a boot request (broadcast) to the network. PC Worx (Express) responds with a boot reply
that contains the IP address and subnet mask of the controller. The requirements are as fol-
lows:
The BootP server knows the MAC address sent by the BootP client.
A corresponding IP address and subnet mask have been assigned in
PC Worx (Express) for the MAC address.
Once the IP data has been transferred to the AXC 1050 successfully, PC Worx (Express)
sends a corresponding acknowledgment message.
Communication path and IP addresses/BootP
Please note:
BootP is active by default on the controller.
The IP address that is assigned here for the controller via BootP is also applied as the
IP address for the communication path via TCP/IP.
After assigning the IP address, PC Worx (Express) automatically sets the connection
via TCP/IP as the communication path to the controller.
