PROBLEM
ROCKS JAMMING IN END OF REEL

PROBABLE CAUSE
Reel blade too long
Reel angle wrong for terrain
Improperly set harrow
Restrictor elbows not installed
Distance from frame to axle of gauge
wheels differ
Machine not properly secured during
transport
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
SOLUTION
Cut 1-1/2" off the end of reel blade.
Cut blade off at angle toward rear of blade
to provide a relief area for rocks.
Set according to operating instructions
(See "Harrow Adjustment" on
page 4-7.)
Check to make sure restrictors are
installed per assembly instructions.
Idle tractor when folding.
Turn tractor hydraulic flow down.
Engage hydraulic valve. Hold fully
engaged until folded.
a. Set all depth stops the same.
b. Raise machine until all cylinders are
fully extended.
c. Measure cylinders from pin to pin.
Verify that all cylinders are same
length.
d. If measurements are not the same,
see "Hydraulic Lift Installation
(876-30, 876-35, 876-40-C)" on
page 3-9 and "Hydraulic Lift
Installation (876-40-H)" on page 3-11
to readjust cylinder length.
Wing cylinders may need to vary in length
from main cylinders, per soil conditions.
Check that tires are same size and
pressure is correct.
Check for hydraulic leakage and repair.
Use transport locks and let machine down
on locks during transport (See
"Transport" on page 4-3.)
