3.7 Troubleshooting Notes
CABLING
Check that all cable and adapter connections are secure
•
Inspect the adapter and cable to check that no pins are damaged
•
Test the VGA cable by connecting it directly with other equipment
•
Test the adapter with a different computer or port on the computer
•
COMPUTER SOURCE
Uninstall any older USB graphics software
•
Check for updated OS, USB, or video graphics card drivers
•
Try different video resolution settings supported by the display
•
Reboot the computer after making multiple changes
•
NOTE: Playback of encrypted Blu-ray disks or iTunes is not supported
•
CONNECTED DISPLAY
Select the VGA input from the connected display menu
•
Select a video resolution setting supported by your computer
•
NETWORK
Check that both the green and yellow LEDs are lit
•
Verify that the adapter is connected to a USB 3.0 port
•
Check with your network provider for IP configuration information
•
