Electric problems

Problem
(1)The machine does
not operate when the
main power switch is
turned on.
(2)Right cooling fan
motor does not oper-
ate.
(3)Left cooling fan
motor does not oper-
ate.
(4)Power source fan
motor does not oper-
ate.
(5)Registration clutch
does not operate.
Causes
No electricity at the power
outlet.
The power cord is not
plugged in properly.
The top cover is not closed
completely.
Broken power cord.
Defective main power
switch.
Blown fuse in the power
source PWB.
Defective interlock switch.
Defective power source
PWB.
Defective control PWB.
Broken right cooling fan
motor coil.
Defective harness between
right cooling fan motor and
control PWB (YC27), or
improper connector inser-
tion.
Defective control PWB.
Broken left cooling fan
motor coil.
Defective harness between
left cooling fan motor and
control PWB (YC104), or
improper connector inser-
tion.
Defective control PWB.
Broken power source fan
motor coil.
Defective harness between
power source fan motor and
control PWB (YC107), or
improper connector inser-
tion.
Defective control PWB.
Broken registration clutch
coil.
Defective harness between
registration clutch and con-
trol PWB (YC20), or
improper connector inser-
tion.
Defective control PWB.
Check procedures/corrective measures
Measure the input voltage.
Check the contact between the power plug and the outlet.
Check the top cover.
Check for continuity. If none, replace the cord.
Check for continuity across the contacts. If none, replace the
power source PWB (See page 1-5-42).
Check for continuity. If none, remove the cause of blowing and
replace the power source PWB (See page 1-5-42).
Check for continuity across the contacts of interlock switch. If
none, replace the power source PWB (See page 1-5-42).
Replace the power source PWB (See page 1-5-42).
Replace the control PWB (See page 1-5-39).
Check for continuity across the coil. If none, replace the right cool-
ing fan motor.
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the con-
nector harness. If none, remedy or replace the harness.
Replace the control PWB (See page 1-5-39).
Check for continuity across the coil. If none, replace the left cool-
ing fan motor.
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the con-
nector harness. If none, remedy or replace the harness.
Replace the control PWB (See page 1-5-39).
Check for continuity across the coil. If none, replace the power
source fan motor.
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the con-
nector harness. If none, remedy or replace the harness.
Replace the control PWB (See page 1-5-39).
Check for continuity across the coil. If none, replace the registra-
tion clutch.
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the con-
nector harness. If none, remedy or replace the harness.
Replace the control PWB (See page 1-5-39).
