Waiting for the flushing time

A flushing phase is necessary to minimize or eliminate effects
associated with the use of an sampling hose (e.g., memory effect,
dead volume). The duration of the flushing phase depends on factors
such as:
type and concentration of the gas or vapor to be measured.
material, length, diameter, and age of the sampling hose.
Consequently, there is no standard flushing time that can be
stated in these Instructions for Use that would be valid for all
cases. The user must consider all possible factors affecting
measurement using an sampling hose, and determine the flushing
time accordingly.
For further information, refer to the Instructions for Use of the
relevant chip, or contact Dräger.
1. Wait for the required flushing time, observing the time display.
