Operation

3.1

Before use

WARNING
!
Before using CMC-Analyzer's Remote System, please do not forget to check the air's
passage through the extention hose and, during the measurement, make sure that the
free passage of air stays clear. A clogged or crimped hose can cause false
measurements. A smaller amount of the hazardous substance will be treated as the
actual measurement.
To check:
Place the end of the extension hose in a jar of water and blow through it. The
appearance of bubbles in the water indicates that the air flow is unobstructed.
After the float probe has been heavily exposed to toxic atmospheres (i.e. was in a liquid
hydrocarbon/solvent or other aggressive test gas), it should be thoroughly cleaned and place
in a "clean" environment for approximately 20 hours. A sample measurement should be taken
before the next use.
3.2

First usage

3.2.1
Mounting on the analyzer
WARNING
!
Do not install in hazardous and explosive areas!
1. Switch off the analyzer by sliding the
switch to position 0.
2. Unscrew the screw (1) and remove the
cover.
3. Remove cap (2) from the spout if
applicable. Store cap and cover safely –
for using the analyzer without the Remote
System.
4. Ensure that the pins (3) of the electrical
contacts
are
straighten the pins carefully.
5. When installing the pump, ensure that the
electrical
contacts
correctly.
