Lx 400 INITIAL SETUP OBJECTIVES Objectives are factory set. Objectives are par-centered and parfo- calised during assembly. All objectives have been secured for a tight fit to prevent them from coming loose during transit. To remove an objective, rotate it counterclockwise while holding it with a rubber grip to avoid any slippage.

  • Page 21 Lx 400 ADJUSTING THE INERPUPILLARY DISTANCE (IPD) The inter-pupillary distance adjustment consists of regulating the two eyepieces to align with both eyes’ pupils so that you can observe a single microscope image through two eyepieces in stereo vision. This greatly helps to reduce fatigue and discomfort during observation.

Lx 400 CLEANING AND SERVICING 12.1 CLEANING OF OPTICAL SURFACES: The Max lite multi-layer coating of the optical components (e.g. eyepieces objective lenses) ensured optimum images quality. Image quality is impaired by even slight contamination. To protect the internal optics from dust, the system should never be left without the objective lens, binocular tube and eyepieces.
