If the Simer A5000 pump runs continuously for 10 minutes, first check the float switch. If the float switch is in the down position and the pump still runs, disconnect the float switch from the control panel. If the pump stops, the float switch is defective and must be replaced. If the pump does not stop, the control panel is defective and should be replaced.

Unit is plugged in but no lights show up on the control panel. I changed the 30 amp fuse in case that was the issue but still nothing. Is the control panel bad or would the lights not come on if the battery was toast?

If there are no lights showing on the control panel after changing the 30 amp fuse, it may indicate an issue with the control panel, but not necessarily a failure. First, check the battery connections and ensure the wires are attached as indicated in Table I and Figures 4 and 6. Also, verify the transformer cord is properly connected and the outlet provides power. If all connections are correct and power is confirmed, and still no lights appear, the control panel may be faulty.

Check the battery connections and verify that the battery is not discharged or defective. Ensure the transformer is plugged in and that either the green (Battery Ready) or yellow (Charge Required) light is on. If not, check the battery connections before replacing the battery.
