Close
To fully open the rear sunroof, tilt up the
front sunroof then keep the switch pulled
to the "OPEN" side. The rear sunroof will
stop at a position approximately 17 cm
(6.7 in) from its fully open position.
Release the switch, then, after confirming
safety, pull the switch again. The rear
sunroof will open to its fully open position.
To fully close the rear sunroof, push the
switch to the "CLOSE" side.
The rear sunroof will stop at a position
approximately 15 cm (5.9 in) before its
fully closed position. After confirming
safety, push the switch to the "CLOSE"
side once more. The rear sunroof will fully
close. To stop the rear sunroof at some
selected mid-way point while it is moving
toward its fully open or fully close position,
momentarily push the switch to the
"CLOSE" side or "OPEN" side.
Push the switch to the "CLOSE" side after
the rear sunroof has fully closed; the front
sunroof will tilt down.
! Anti-entrapment function
When the sunroof senses an object
trapped between its glass and the vehi-
cle's roof during closure, it automatically
moves back by approximately 15 cm (6 in)
from that point and then stops. The anti-
entrapment function may also be activated
by a strong shock on the sunroof even
when there is nothing trapped.
NOTE
. For the sake of safety, it is recom-
mended that you avoid driving with the
sunroof fully opened.
. Driving with the sunroof fully open
can cause an annoying sound to gen-
erate at high speeds. If such a condi-
tion has been encountered, use the
sunroof at the initial stop position.
. If the sunroof cannot be closed
through switch operation because of
system failure, it can be closed manu-
ally using a hex-head wrench. For the
procedure, refer to the "Sunroof – if
Keys and doors
sunroof cannot be closed" section in
chapter 9 "In case of emergency".
! Sun shades
The sun shade can be slid forward or
backward by hand while the sunroof is
closed.
If the sunroof is opened, the sun shade
also moves back.
