8 Assembling the keypad

8.1
Pick the keypad, shield, back plate and key
pad fixing pack out of the box.

Place the back plate flat on top of the shield
ensuring the follower is visble through the
circular cut out.

9 Removing the transit pin from the latch

Locate the transit screw in the side of the
latch which will be visible through the door
preparation.

Take shield and place keypad face down
into the aperture ensuring the lever follower
is aligned with the hole in the shield.

Secure back plate to shield with the
8 machine screws supplied. Ensure that the
screws sit flush with the face of the back
plate.

Undo screw and remove from latch through
side of door preparation.

STOP!

for codeGUARD, please see the 'how to
change your code number' section.

Install hex support posts into the top and
bottom of the key pad for stability. Ensure
these are screwed all the way to the surface.
9.3
Ball bearing cavity will now be exposed on
the side of the latch ready to insert security
pin.
