Hardware and Software

This application description for the ExtendedCraneDCC add-on DCC is valid for
use with SINAMICS S120 in conjunction with the following product versions:

Prerequisites

With the ExtendedCraneDCC application DCC being an add-on, it is a prerequisite
that the system is properly configured to run within the SINAMICS environment. In
conjunction to being properly configured to run within the SINAMICS environment,
it is also a prerequisite that SIMOCRANE Drive Based-Technology is properly
configured to function as described in Siemens SIMOCRANE Drive-Based
Technology Operating Instructions. It is very important to set all reference variables
as described on page 24 of the SIMOCRANE Drive-Based Technology Operating
Instructions as internally, SINAMICS DCC operates only with percentage values,
and the conversion from absolute to percentage values is always implemented
using reference value in parameters p2000 to p2003 or r2700 to r2703.

Dependencies

The ExtendedCraneDCC application DCC add-on uses display parameters, so it is
necessary to set p45 (display values smoothing time constant) to a maximum value
of 2 multiplied by p115.3 (sampling times for internal control loops, setpoint
channel). Too high of a value for display value smoothing time constant (p45) can
cause delays in torque proving, and too small of a value can cause malfunctioning
of torque proving logic. For example, if p115.3 is set to 4000 µs, then set p45 to a
maximum value of 8.00 ms.
It is necessary to use SINAMICS Extended Brake Control. It is necessary to set
p1215 (motor holding brake configuration) to either [1] Motor holding brake acc. to
sequence control, or [3] Motor holding brake like sequence control connection via
BICO.
