Brief description
The TorqueProving block builds the actual torque sufficient enough to release the
brakes, and monitors that enough actual torque is developed in the motor before
releasing the brake.
Mode of operation
After enabling this function, when the brakes are applied, the TorqueProving block
retentively stores the value of actual torque. Next time the brake opening sequence
begins, the currently available actual torque is compared with the retentively stored
actual torque during previous braking and with a pre-parameterized minimum
required actual torque value. Until the current actual torque is greater than both
values (stored actual torque value during previous braking and minimum torque
value), the TorqueProving block will not release the brake opening permit. Once
the current actual torque is greater than or equal to the torque to be proven, then
the brake opening permit from the TorqueProving block is given, but the final brake
release command is still determined within SINAMICS brake control.
The TorqueProving block can be used with (recommended) or without StartPulse.
This block can be used for either one or two hoist operation. For two hoist
operation, torque sharing and speed synchronized operations are possible.
If p21602 CommonSignals_boEnable_Mode_H1+2 is selected (meaning two hoists
are present in the system configuration) torque proving can be enabled on either
hoist 1, hoist 2, or both. If torque proving is enabled for both hoists, the brakes will
not release until both hoists have proven sufficient torque.
