Replacing air filters

Introduction
To ensure your server cools and functions properly, remove and clean air
filters every six months in clean environments and every three months in
industrial or dirty environments . If they appear to be damaged or become
inefficient, replace the filters.
Locating the air filters
There are four air filters on the 1001rp server — one inside each of the two
doors of the front bezel, and two on the top half of the front bezel. They are
made of polyester foam material and are flame retardant.
Requirements
You require the customer's chassis keys for the front bezel.
To replace the front bezel air filter
1 Remove the front bezel from the chassis. See "To remove the front bezel"
on page 129.
2 Pull the filters away from the Velcro strips that secure them to the bezel.
3 Replace the filter by seating the new filter pads evenly over the Velcro
strips and securing them.
4 Install and lock the front bezel on the chassis.
