10. Press the shaft and bearing out of the outer sheave
using an arbor press.

11. Inspect the bearing
the bearing does not spin smoothly, replace it. To
replace the bearing, remove the snap ring
end of the shaft and press the bearing off the shaft.
12. Inspect the cam (helix) assembly bushing
If the bushing is worn or the shaft does not fit snug
into the bushing, replace the cam (helix) assembly.
13. Inspect the sheaves for excessive wear or damage.

BEARING INSTALLATION

1. Install a new bearing
arbor press. Once bearing is fully seated, install a

2. Install the shaft and bearing assembly into the outer
sheave using an arbor press.
Press only on the outer race of the bearing during
installation to prevent damaging the bearing.
