Appendix V Warranty conditions

The Haffmans B.V. warranty is supplemental to any rights the purchaser may have on the basis
of the sales contract between the purchaser and the seller and on the basis of applicable laws.
Haffmans B.V. warrants that, under normal use, the unit requires no maintenance and is free of
defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is valid for a period of 12 months as from
the invoice date.
Any recalibrations and/or standard maintenance measures that may be required are not
covered by the warranty. The warranty does not cover fuses or an instrument or component that
is incorrectly used or modified or that has been exposed to abnormal working or handling
conditions.
If a fault is observed during the warranty period, then it must be reported in writing. The
instrument, accompanied by a description of the problem, must be returned, postage paid, to
Haffmans B.V. or to a Haffmans B.V. designated representative or agent.
The defective components will be replaced or repaired free of charge if this defect is not the
result of:
Use other than that specified as intended use in the user manual.
•
Modification of the instrument.
•
Overdue maintenance.
•
repair by third parties that are not authorized by Haffmans B.V.;
•
abnormal working or environmental conditions.
•
The purchaser will be charged for the labor costs for disassembly and assembly relating to the
repair, as well as for the transport costs incurred when returning the instrument to the
purchaser.
Haffmans B.V. accepts no responsibility for any damage that may occur during transport.
