Retract and depress the handle several times and make sure that no traces of the
cleaning agents remain in the system after flushing. Not rinsing the instrument
thoroughly with water can lead to corrosion under the O-rings of the plunger.

It is advisable to clean the plunger once a month. If it is difficult to move the handle or
the instrument is cleaned with a degreaser, the maintenance procedure for the plunger
must be performed immediately.
Procedure:
1. Use the socket screw key from the service set to loosen the four screws
(pos. 19).
2. Pull the handle and the block (pos. 07) out of the instrument housing.
3. Loosen the six screws (pos. 22) and remove the protective housing.
4. Lubricate the O-rings (pos. 21) from the plunger with the aid of the O ring puller
from the service set.
5. Use the brush from the service set to scrub the plunger and the inside of the
plunger block with a degreasing agent, then polish them with a cleaning agent,
and finally rinse them thoroughly with water.
6. Wipe away accumulations of grime from the plunger and its housing with a clean
cloth (from the service set).

If there are salt deposits in the instrument (beer stone), the
instrument must also be cleaned at room temperature, as
described above, by using an acidic cleaning agent with a nitric
acid base (~ 0.5%) or a phosphoric acid base (~ 2%). Once
completed, the instrument must be well rinsed with cold water.
The handle must be moved up and down during rinsing. It is
forbidden to use cleansers that contain chlorite or fluorine.
Do not use any sharp scraping objects to avoid damaging the
inside. Clean the inside only with the brush from the service
set.
