FITTING THE UNDERLAY, LINER & FILLING
> >
Underlay
Before spreading the underlay (waterproofi ng pack) over the concrete, make sure
w
that the surface of the concrete is smooth, fl at and clean. The underlay is precut to
the pool dimensions, no trimming will be necessary. Once laid, smooth out creases
as much as possible.
Liner
Figure 35
Put the liner pack in the pool (caution: it is heavy!). Take the liner out and unfold
w
it once across the pool and then totally along the length of the pool. Before
proceeding with the fi tting itself, allow the liner to rest for a while so that it becomes
more supple, this will facilitate its installation.
Climb bare foot into the pool, check that the bottom corners of the liner wall are
w
properly aligned with the corners of the pool structure. The liner corners are marked
and should correspond with the pool corners. It is important to spread the liner out
correctly. Push the upper bead of the liner into the liner locking track, continue the
whole way around the periphery of the pool. Hold the liner in place as you go using
half pegs (supplied with the liner), particularly in the corners.
With the liner correctly hung in place, fi ll the pool with 2 cm of water and smooth
w
out any creases pushing them from the centre of the pool towards the pool walls.
This will not be possible if the pool is completely empty or too full (more than 2 cm
water).
Once creases have been eliminated, continue fi lling the pool until the water level is
w
5 cm below the 1st pool fi ttings (return fi tting) or the apertures for the underwater
lights depending on their position.
At this point, the fi ltration group should be installed before continuing to fi ll the
w
pool.

CAUTION
Before fi tting the
w
liner, make sure that
the surfaces are free
of splinters and any
other asperities that
could damage the
liner.
The ideal ambient
w
temperature for
fi tting a liner is
between a 18 and
25°. If the liner
is fi tted in colder
weather, take care to
store it beforehand
in a heated room.
Should the liner need
w
to be repositioned
while fi tting, never
pull it along the
rail. Release it and
reposition it to avoid
the risk of tearing.
(damage of this type
is not covered by the
guarantee).
Before and during
w
the fi lling, check
that liner is correctly
hung, particularly in
the corners. Leave
the half pegs in
position while fi lling
the pool.
