Has IR communication Yes
been turned off?
No
Change electronic
control and repeat
procedure.

Check PDA manual for
correct use of IR. Is
there any control
response?
No
Make sure that SDIO
IrDA card is
installed if
required on PDA.
Yes
If PDA displays
control mismatch,
select proper control
type.
Communication
sequence checks out
properly.
Turn IR communication
on (refer to
programming manual).
