FIRST FILLING OF HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT
• Turn the switch on the burner to the "O" position to avoid the burner
automatic activation.
• Make sure the line voltage is the same as indicated in the
identification plate of the burner.
• Make sure that the burner revolves anti-clockwise when watching
it from the pump side.
• The fan rotation direction can be checked also by looking at the fan
through the inspection hole located on the back of the scroll.
• Remove the vacuum gauge connection plug from the pump and
slightly open the shut-off valve on the fuel pipe. Let fuel come out
until there are no more air bubbles, then close the shut-off valve. In
case no supply circuit under pressure is available, fill the pump by
pouring fuel into the supply hose.
IGNITION AND ADJUSTMENT WITH LIQUID
FUEL
Before starting up, make sure that:
• Check that the nozzles fitted on the burner are suitable for the
boiler capacity. If necessary, replace them with suitable ones. In
no case should the quantity of fuel delivered exceed the maximum
amount required by the boiler and the maximum amount allowed
for the burner.
It is recommended to first make the ignition with the liquid fuel as the
delivery is conditioned by the nozzle.
Then to regulate the gas operate the pressure regulator on the gas
train.
• Connections to the supply line, to thermostats or pressure
switches, have been made according to the electrical diagram of
the equipment.
• Check if there is fuel in the tank and water in the boiler.
• All the gate valves fitted on the fuel oil intake and return pipes are
open, as well as any other shut-off element on the fuel pipes.
To start the burner proceed as follows:
• Turn the fuel change-over switch to the "OIL" position.
IMPORTANT
select the fuel change before 10 seconds stops the cyclic relay
and the burner does not start.
• Now close the main switch to start up the burner.
• Turn on the switch on the control panel.
• This powers on the control box, and the programmer turns on the
burner.
• During the pre-ventilation stage, make sure that the pressure
switch detects the air variation closing the contact.
• We recommend that the adjustment is performed so as to obtain
a soft light orange flame; avoid red flames with smoke and white
flames with an excess of air.Make the air regulation so as to obtain
a certain amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the smoke, varying
from min. 10% to max. 13% with a smoke number not exceeding 2
(Bacharach scale).
• Normally, you need to decrease the air flow between disk and head
when the burner is running with reduced fuel output.
• When the burner is working at its "minimum" output, adjust the air
and liquid fuel in the proper quantities to ensure a good combustion.
The air flow must be proportionally larger when the burner is working
with an increased fuel delivery. This operation is carried out on the
flame disk adjustment screw. When modifying this position, it is
necessary to check that ignition occurs correctly.
