4.1.3 Register 7 to Set Forcibly Turning OFF LED

4)
Communication Error
When data from encoder is not updated for longer than 500 microseconds, this
status is set to "1". (In normal state, data from encoder is updated every 84
microseconds.)
When updating data is restarted after communication error was detected, the
status will return to "0" .
This error occurs when communication line was broken or when power to the
encoder was disconnected.
5)
CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) Error
When CRC calculation result of data received from encoder is found as error,
this status will be set to "1". This status will not kept, and therefore, if no error is
found as next CRC calculation result, the status will return to "0".
This error occurs when disturbance of communication data was caused due to
noise or when encoder power voltage became lower than specified value.
6)
Overflow
When data for revolution number of one revolution or more exceeds maximum
count, this status will be set to "1". Once this status is set to "1", it will be held
until clearing operation is performed.
6)
Error of Data for Revolution Number More Than One Revolution
When normal data cannot be obtained due to exceeding allowable rotating
speed, this status will be set to "1". Once this status is set to "1", it will be held
until clearing operation is performed.
When only one or two channels are used out of three channels, unused channel(s)
is (are) always under condition detecting communication error and the
corresponding Status Display LED will be turned ON. To avoid such situation,
register 7 is used to set forcibly turning off the LED(s) for the unused channel(s). Be
careful to set the correct channel(s) only.
When setting register 7, define it as a single integer number and write to the register
a number out of "0" to "7" corresponding to combination of unused channels. If
channel 3 is not used, for example, write "4" to the register to set "1" to bit 2 (see the
following figure).
