SMART THERMOSTAT

TEMPERATURE SET POINT

The set point is the target room temperature. Normally, the SMART
THERMOSTAT and the main temperature controller both use a common
temperature set point. This set point is provided by the main temperature
controller. However, when the communication link between the thermo-
stat controller and the temperature controller gets disrupted for more
than two minutes, or in case of a set point alarm (see ALARMS), the
SMART THERMOSTAT starts running as a stand-alone unit and uses the
previous valid temperature set point transmitted by the temperature con-
troller. The user can also change the set point of the thermostat controller
while the controller operates as a stand-alone unit. This temperature set
point can be adjusted between -40.0°F and 99.9°F (-40.0°C and 37.7°C).
Adjusting the Temperature Set Point
The set point can only be modified when the thermostat control-
ler operates as a stand-alone unit (when no temperature control-
ler is detected). The temperature curve must also be disabled in
order to modify the set point (see the following section to disable
the curve).
Set the function to SET POINT using the function selector buttons.
The current set point flashes on the display.
Use the adjustment buttons to adjust the set point to
the desired value.
