The connectors on the PD-106 board are described below.
. CN1: This connector is connected with the main unit side of CCU. It performs serial communication
that supplies each power used on the PD-106 board and that controls the device on the board.
. CN5: A video Y/C signal is separated and input from the S-Video signal of CCU for video display.
. CN2: 3.5-inch LCD back light flexible connector
. CN3: This is a connector to which a 3.5-inch LCD panel driving signal and RGB signal are connected.
. CN4: This is a line adjustment tool connection connector. This connector is not connected with the
inside of this unit.
The PD-106 board receives the Y/C video signal input from CN5 using Q6 and Q9 and converts it into Y,
R-Y, and B-Y signals in IC6. The Y/C video signal is converted in an analog way according to the
NTSC/PAL system.
The color-difference signal output from IC6 is passed through Q19 to Q25, halved in a level using Q3,
Q4, and Q5, and input to the LCD driver (IC5).
The functions of IC5 are as follows:
. IC5 is a PLL circuit consisting of L7 and C52. IC5 synchronizes a video signal by pulling in the input
Y and sync signals.
. IC5 performs PLL synchronization for each board using variable capacitance diode D2.
. IC5 converts a chroma signal into an RGB signal, converts the gamma characteristics suitable for the
LCD panel, and sends the converted signal to the LCD panel.
These adjustments are partially performed in D/A converter IC4 using EVR. Moreover, the setting
suitable for NTSC/PAL is controlled by the register setting of the serial communication data connected to
IC5.
IC1 is a PWM control-type DC/DC converter. Using a voltage of 9 V, IC1 controls the voltage suitable
for the brightness of the LCD panel by Q18. The voltage suitable for the brightness of the LCD panel is
usually about 5 VDC.
T1 is a high-voltage converter transformer. T1 converts the voltage supplied from Q18 into about 800
VAC using a switching frequency that consists of the constants of R106, R110, and C94.
The adjustment values in board configuration described above are stored in IC7 (EEPROM) as data.
Even if the PD-106 board is replaced, no adjustment is required because the PD-106 board contains
adjustment values.

6-4. SW-1082 Board

The SW-1082 board constitutes the buttons on the CCU control panel.
EN1 to EN4 are a rotary encoder. A pulse signal is obtained according to the rotation of EN1 to EN4 so
as to control the camera gain, shutter speed value, and R/B gain.
S1 to S28 are a "pushbutton" tact switch. They are connected to the key matrix of the main unit.
IC1 is a D/A converter. IC1 turns on and off each button LED according to the output signal.
CN3 is used to connect the key matrix of the main unit. CN5 is used to connect the PD-106 board and
CCU in the pattern of a bypass to CN4. CN1 is used to connect the PSW-77 board. CN2 is used to
connect the LED-66 board.
