Removing the burner

Proceed as follows to remove the burner:
− Open and remove the front panel and the upper panel of
the thermal module
− Loosen the nut (1) fastening the gas supply tube from the
gas valve (2)
− If the thermal module is of type C (type C configuration
not as standard but obtained with a specific accessory)
− Loosen retainer (3) and remove the air intake duct (4)
− Remove the small tube (5) from the pressure tap
placed on the gas valve (2)
− Disconnect the connectors (6) of the ignition electrodes
− Loosen the screws (7) and remove the plate with the ig-
nition transformer (8)
− Disconnect the connector (9) of the detection electrode
− Disconnect the wirings (10) of the fan (11)
− Loosen the four nuts (12) fastening the burner unit to the
flue gas chamber closure and remove it with care paying
attention not to damage the silicone rubber seal (13)

Reverse the above steps to fit the new pump.

Check that the gas connection is leak proof.
3.9.4

Setting the electrodes

The positioning of the ignition (A) and detection (B) electrodes is
fundamental to obtain reliable flame ignitions.
With the burner removed, verify the state of wear and the po-
sitioning of the ignition electrodes and flame detection sensor
according to the figure below. Replace if damaged or worn.

Boiler exchanger cleaning

After removing the burner, as described on paragraph "Remov-
ing the burner", proceed as follows to access the exchanger:
− Loosen the 4 nuts (1) and lift and remove the combustion
chamber closing head (2)
− Check the wear status of the seal (5) and of the ceramic
insulation (6) and replace, if necessary
− To replace the ceramic insulation loosen the 4 screws (3)
and check the wear status of the insulating panel (4) and
replace, if necessary
− Remove the turbulators (7), check their wear status and
the opening of the tabs (replace them, if necessary)
− Use a swab (8) or another suitable tool
