5.16 Checking the V-belt, tight-
ening, replacing if neces-
sary
Checking the V-belt

Remove the V-belt guard.
l
Check the condition and tension of the V-belt,
l
replace the V-belt if damaged.
Compression measurement approx. 5 mm
l
(Fig. 44).

Slightly loosen two fastening screws (1) (Fig.

45) on both sides of the engine carrier.
Push the motor carrier forward and take the V-
l
belt off.
Install the new V-belt.

Tightening the V-belt

Pull the engine carrier back (Fig. 46) until the
l
correct V-belt tension is achieved and tighten
the four fastening screws.
Assemble the V-belt guard.

Caution
!
Check the V-belt tension again after a running
time of approx. 25 operating hours, retighten if
necessary.
